HomeWell Owner Spotlight: Mark Fratto

July 21, 2022

After years of working in home care, Mark Fratto felt he had the industry knowledge and practical experience to open an independent business. So why did he join HomeWell?

“I was reluctant to join a franchise,” says Mark Fratto, owner of HomeWell Care Services in Beverly Farms, MA.

“I didn’t want to be an owner strapped to my desk and crunching numbers because I think my best asset is being able to be out with the clients and the families and figuring out what they need.”

Mark’s Calling

Home care felt like the next step for me. My dad had cancer, and we cared for him at home. Prior to that, we cared for my grandmother at our house. If someone needed something, I would always drop what I was doing and help them out. I think I was born for this — I think it’s a calling.”

“I had previously worked for a large home care company where I was the general manager for about four years. When we decided to pursue our own business, I had all the pieces and experience needed for us to open a mom-and-pop shop.”

Discovering the HomeWell Difference

“What made me come to HomeWell was their family feel. It wasn’t a corporate feel.”

“HomeWell gives us the freedom to do what we feel is best for our franchises. They provide us with direction and give us what we need, but it’s a family feel.”

“I am proud of the peace of mind that [HomeWell] gives families. When I walk into a client’s house, and they’re smiling—that’s the day.”
