Colorado Springs, Colorado — July 9, 2023 — Tracie Dominguez, Owner of HomeWell Care Services in Colorado Springs, was recently selected from over 36,000 franchisees representing more than 360 franchise brands to be recognized as a “Franchise Rockstar” by Franchise Business Review, a leading franchise market research firm. As a military veteran, Dominguez received the award in the ‘Veterans’ category for her commitment to serving fellow veterans in her community, along with her agency’s outstanding performance in the past year.
“I am incredibly honored and humbled to win this award,” said Dominguez. “Upon hearing the news, I remember a flood of emotions hitting me. I thought of my parents, husband, daughters—everyone who poured into HomeWell to contribute to its success. I am so grateful to them and feel so blessed to see all the long days, hard work and commitment to our mission being recognized.”
Leading up to Dominguez’s reception of the award, Stu Blaze, her Franchise Business Consultant at HomeWell, was adamant that Dominguez should be nominated for this recognition. Reflecting on her journey, he said, “Tracie has faced tremendous adversity in the last few years, yet her winning attitude and passion for her business and her people pushed her through.” Blaze further explained that her agency’s gross billing total from April 2022 to April 2023 increased by an impressive 146% compared to the same one-year period last year.
To experience such growth, Dominguez claims investing in her staff was key. Sales grew exponentially after she started implementing a more deliberate process to find and place the right individual for each seat in her business. Next, she equipped all members of her agency to thrive in their respective seats, especially her care staff. “I invested in our new caregivers with more extensive initial training, and I found that by going above and beyond to ensure they felt equipped, they went above and beyond serving our clients,” she said. “Their confidence was reflected in their performance.”
As Dominguez poured into her employees, FBC Blaze shared that Dominguez continued to drive business-to-business growth through referrals with local healthcare agencies and by maintaining her focus on care for fellow veterans. “All that hard work and dedication paid off!” he exclaimed. “She drove and cultivated a work culture where all her staff—caregivers, office staff and administration, sales—they all understood the importance of each of their roles and believed in HomeWell’s mission. Tracie truly is a rockstar and a perfect example of a franchise owner who trusted the process and in herself to reach her goals.”
